When you’re buying a condo, you’re buying some private space for yourself but you’re also buying into a corporation that owns all of a common area. So, it’s important that you understand the financials of this corporation. You also want to know what the bylaws are, you want to know if you can keep your cat in your apartment, those kinds of things.
So, when you buy a condo, one of the conditions you’re gonna put on it is you’re gonna make your offer conditional to reviewing and approving of the condominium documents. It’s important that you do this. If you’re selling your condo, one way to make it easier is to collect all of these documents beforehand.
So, that when you get an offer and they ask you for all these documents you’ve got them. So, collect the documents. Your Realtor should be able to give you a list of the documents that you’re going to need. Go through them with your agent make sure that you’ve got them all beforehand. It makes things way easier.
